Sassie Cakes is a custom cake boutique that started in my home in 2011 and opened our first brick and mortar in Waynedale in February 2014. We are the true definition of a family business. I believe that the taste of my cakes is just as important if not more important than the look. I enjoy creating new recipes and being challenged creatively with designs. I have a true passion for all things cake. Each cake I make is special and I treat every one of them as if it is the only cake I will ever make.
I have a wonderful husband that teaches Special Education at Wayne High School, three wonderful children ages 13, 11 and 6 and a very energetic Boston Terrier named Piper along with a Husky named AJ. Being a mom and entrepreneur is very challenging and one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. I enjoy teaching my kids about business and hard work. We try to live by the motto "work hard, play hard". We have a rule that once a week, we put all work away for a day and we do something special and FUN! Our favorite things to do are to visit the different parks around Fort Wayne, go to the zoo or go to the local festivals.
