The Process


Call or use this form to contact us at our shop.  You may also fill out the form by visiting the Contact Us page.  Provide us with as many details about your wedding as possible.  We will let you know if we are available for the date of your wedding and will schedule a tasting and consultation. 

Cake tastings and consultations are only scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and certain Sundays throughout the month.  Your private consultation will last about 1 hour and costs $25.  The $25 fee will be applied to the final cost of your cake. 

Due to the current Pandemic we are currently offering to go tasting boxes for $15 and all Consultations will be done via Phone, Facetime or Zoom


At the time of your tasting and consultation I will ask you to bring in anything that can be used for inspiration for your cake.  This can be pictures of other cakes, your dress, flowers, invitations, jewelry or even fabric.  Almost anything can be used as creative inspiration for a cake!  
Due to the complexity of wedding cake designs,  the process ​to design and price your cake may take some time.  I will be in contact with you through email once everything is complete. At that time a 20% non refundable deposit is due to secure your wedding date. 


A month prior to the wedding final payment is due along with any changes in guest count and final flavor choices.  We will contact your venue and any other vendors the week of your event to coordinate our delivery time.  We look forward to providing you a high quality one of kind centerpiece cake for your wedding.

Cakes created here are not just cakes they are edible artistic centerpieces. 

We are a very small cake shop and cake is our specialty, only providing cakes and cupcakes so we can focus on making each one truly amazing.
We bake all of our cakes with love in small batches to ensure they are of the highest quality.  

We are able to achieve a fondant like smooth finish using our signature homemade buttercream frosting. Your guests will enjoy a cake made of real frosting instead of a cake they have to work at to remove the fondant covering.  When we do use fondant for decorative purposes like ruffles, rest assure there is plenty of buttery smooth buttercream underneath. 

You will work with the owner Krysta throughout the process, from first contact through delivery. Krysta bakes, designs and creates each cake, making sure you receive a premium quality product. 

How far in advance should I book my cake? 

It is suggested that you book your wedding cake 6-8 months prior to your wedding. It is not uncommon for me to book a year out so booking as early as possible is a good idea. 

I have a particular cake in mind that I found on the internet, can you replicate it for me

Due to the artistic nature of the cake industry, I try to respect the original cake designer and feel that it is unprofessional to copy their work.  I feel that a cake from Sassie Cakes should be a reflection of the clients unique event and customized as such.  I can use cakes found on the internet as inspiration. I actually encourage you to bring several pictures of cakes you like so I can get a better feel for your likes and dislikes, helping me create a cake that is perfect for you. 


Wedding Cakes are priced per serving. 
The final cost of your cake is based on number of servings, complexity of design and flavors. Each cake is priced individually. We Currently have a $300 minimum for wedding orders.

What goes into the price of my cake?

The price of your cake includes not only the time and materials to bake your cake but the full design service. The price per serving reflects the attention to detail, education, quality ingredients, unique design ideas and the ability to execute the designs. The cake you receive will not be a mediocre cake, it will be an exquisite and tasty work of art.
